MooreCo, Inc.
Balt® and Best-Rite® have been manufacturing quality commercial and educational products for several decades
and have been operating under a new organizational name, MooreCo Inc. since 2007.
Located in Temple, Texas, MooreCo Inc. is the leader in the educational and commercial markets for visual communication products, technology support equipment and office furniture. With state of the art equipment, highly trained employees, and an excellent shipping history, MooreCo Inc. has established a solid reputation for quality and reliability.
The 1950's - Best-Rite was founded in Temple, Texas as a division of American Desk with a primary focus of providing the top quality chalkboards and markerboards for the educational marketplace.
The 1970's - In 1971, investors Frank Butler and Loyd Niles acquired and incorporated Best-Rite Chalkboards. At that time, products were sold only in Texas and the surrounding geographic area from a 53,000 sq. ft. facility.
In 1985 there was a growing need for well-designed, high quality printer stands. With a vision for excellence, Balt was formed to satisfy this need. Our humble beginnings consisted of three printer stands. Since then, Balt has emerged into the respected source for dependable and innovative computer support and office furniture.
The 1990's - Acquired by the Moore family in 1991, Best-Rite Chalkboards became Best-Rite Manufacturing. With a new name and a new business philosophy, came new expansion criteria. Best-Rite Manufacturing reached outward to expand into a nationwide market. Product lines were broadened to include a complete array of visual communication products for current and new markets. Wall mounted writing boards, art display products and easels were some of the new products developed to gain a share of the office products, audio-visual/presentation, hospitality, early childhood and government markets.
More recently, in 2007, a 55,000 square feet building addition increases the Temple, Texas location to a total of 223,000 square feet.
